Grim Reefer vs Cono
I think it’s fairly well established that I’m a big fan of the “Higher Flyer.” I don’t know much about Cono, who is representing the A-Listers, and is also the former Justin Toxic. Reefer wins a solid little match clean with a frog splash.
What I liked: The work here was solid, but what I really liked was the spotlight shining on Cono. Since he debuted in NYWC, there really hasn’t been any character development for him, or any really meaningful matches or stories. Yeah, he’s in the A-listers, but who the hell is he? In this match, he got to show off a little bit of character and some signature moves, and he didn’t have to compete with the rest of his stable for attention.
