DON’T LOOK BACK! Angry Andy Books WrestleMania 32

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

(Kickoff Show Match)

Alright, let’s face it… this match is going to be a “thing” that they do every year… so we may as well embrace it.
Since my card makes the most out of the current main roster (well, what’s left of it,) this match is going to require a bit of filler from our friends in NXT.

Now,  what are they all fighting for? Besides a trophy no one will remember, let’s put a little something bigger at stake. How about the winner gets a WWE Championship match at a future WWE Network exclusive show? Suddenly, this match actually matters, AND you use it to sell a future show. Win-win.

You’ll notice an interesting mix of main roster, NXT, part-time and “surprise comeback” talent filling out this 30-man match. It’s a healthy way to make sure there’s something for everyone in this match, and everyone watching has someone to root for.

I’d come down to a final 4 of Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, Ryback, and Big Show. Big show gets dumped by the other 3. The workhorses dump Ryback. Bryan dumps Joe, and wins a future title shot — starting the crowd off on a BIG high, and guaranteeing a lot of eyes on a future network special.

But… that situation relies on a healthy Daniel Bryan, which may or may not be the case. If he’s NOT cleared, I pitch the exact same scenario, with Finn Balor in his place. This sets up a WWE Champion vs. NXT Champion match, exclusively on the WWE Network. It may not get the same pop as a Daniel Bryan win, but it would be very smart business, and a big investment in the future of both WWE, and the NXT brand.
