10 Better Ways for TNA to Spend $400k than on Alberto Del Rio

 1. Chris Sabin

Remember the guy who came back from a knee injury, won the TNA World Title, turned heel, then disappeared off the face of the earth?  Yeah, he got chopped by the budget ax.  But if there’s $400k floating around and a need for star power, there’s no reason not to resign your former world champion, who had been with the company for the better part of a decade.  You don’t need to make him a top star, but having him back immediately adds another top contender to both the world and X-division title pictures.

The Upside: Your crowd not only knows him, but they love him.  He’ll have good matches, and can cut an effective-enough promo.  He can always be your sympathetic, underdog babyface in a way hat guys like Eric Young just can’t.

The Risk: Sabin is another guy with a bum knee.  At this point in his career, it may be a bit of a challenge to keep him healthy.  Use him sparingly, and use him right, and this won’t be as big of a risk as it sounds.
