10 Better Ways for TNA to Spend $400k than on Alberto Del Rio

3. Eddie Kingston

The War King is a beast in the ring.  As Chikara’s first Grand Champion, he had great match after great match with a slew of challengers.  He’s had some great feuds, and put on TREMENDOUS promos.  If you let Eddie be Eddie, he’s can’t-miss.  Period.  If nothing else,  you use him (teamed with Homicide, or solo) when you run in New York.  There are worse ideas than to have pay-per-appearance special guests in your home markets.

The Upside: Kingston is a great brawler.  He’s great on the mic.  And when he wants to be, he’s pretty technically sound, too.  His best asset, though, is his personality.  It comes through in his promos, his crowd interactions, and his in-ring work.  He’s a star.

The risk: Eddie is a big boy, and every once in a while, gets hurt.  He seems to have a bum knee and a short fuse.  Keeping him calm and keeping him healthy are the only real worries with the War King.
