8. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler’s whole gimmick is that he’s a talented guy, who’s more concerned with having really good wrestling displays than his win-loss record. He’s a human highlight reel, so to speak. The problem? He’s often booked against guys who, for better or worse, can’t quite keep up with that style.
Insert AJ Styles.
Since leaving TNA, Styles has seemingly set out to prove that he’s just as good as he was supposed to be. In that time, he managed to turn me from a HUGE hater, into a big fan. It’s not because of the hype, or because of inane commentators telling me he’s amazing. It’s because AJ Styles went out and had great matches, with opponents all over the world.
A heel Ziggler would be the perfect opponent to add to that list.
