Why it works: WWE has spent the better part of the last 2 years building Reigns up as “the guy.” Now, that backfired a year ago, when the crowd turned on his push… but Reigns has largely recovered since Wrestle Mania. He’s got solid momentum as a face, and has been putting on some pretty good matches, too. Now could be a great time to pull the trigger and give him his first run with the title.

Why it (probably) won’t happen: It seems too obvious… because it actually makes sense. WWE will try to go for the element of surprise over logical storytelling, and make us wait until we no longer want him to win before actually having Reigns win. Again.
