The Buildup
This “feud” started off making little-to-no sense. Lana, arbitrarily targeting Brie Bella, in a series of arbitrary attacks, following an arbitrary personality change.
Great.
It started to pick up when the dueling Divas began to pick teams, with talented divas like Alicia Fox, Paige, Natalya, Naomi and Emma joining the match. Even with the inclusion of Lana, Summe rRae and Tamina… this suddenly seemed like it could be watchable, even entertaining.
Then Eva Marie was announced as the fifth competitor for the babyface team, and I lost all desire to see this match altogether.
Eva Marie… the woman who failed to improve, despite one-on-one training with Brian Kendrick. Eva Marie, the woman who is absolutely despised by the NXT crowd. Eva Marie, who was booed out of the building the last time she appeared in Brooklyn. Eva Marie… the babyface hero, called upon to even the odds in front of a hostile Brooklyn crowd.
They never learn, do they?
