What’s the Worst That Could Happen?: NXT (R) Evolution

Lucha Dragons (c) vs The Vaudevillains – NXT Tag-Team Title Match

Best Case Scenario: An exciting tag-team extravaganza that showcases the immense talents of the true star attraction of the group, Kalisto. Although not as heralded as the other major-name indie wrestlers brought in this year, Kalisto puts on an other-worldly performance and outshines them all as the Lucha Dragons retain. Oh and the Vaudevillains try to do something heelish and it works!

Worst Case Scenario: The two teams never really get in sync with the Luchas’ high flying style, and the match grinds to a halt as the NXT crowd cheers for the cutesy throwback duo instead of the faces. The Vaudevillains win by disqualification, but not nearly in a heelish enough way to do their jobs right.

What Matthew Wants to Happen: A sort of smaller version of Zayn/Cesaro when Kalisto and Simon Gotch square off. I’m still waiting for that “show your friends how awesome Kalisto is” match in NXT. This is that match. Also, the Vaudevillains cowardly attack after losing the match cleanly, getting some old school retro heat.

What Will Happen: It will be really hard for this to be anything but a fun time. With a major hard hitting tag-team match also on the card, look for this one to differentiate itself with a spot or two that’ll make all of us wrestling GIF hounds happy.
