Andy Will Be Angry If…: WWE Money in the Bank Edition

Ladder Match for the WWE Championship

Seth Rollins (C) vs. Dean Ambrose

Here’s a main event I’m very excited for. The feud we saw between these two last year? That was great. What we’re seeing now is even better.

This short program has turned Dean Ambrose into the number one babyface in the company. Fans have taken notice of the fact that he, beyond a shadow of a doubt, has “it.” He’s got the ring work. He’s got the look. And, good god, does he have the charisma. When Ambrose comes to the ring, people pay attention.

And that’s why he’s NOT getting the WWE championship…yet.

Much like Dean Ambrose in 2014, I think WWE realizes that the money with Ambrose is not yet in an actual championship reign, but the battle toward the belt itself. People want to see what kind of crazy shit Ambrose will do to get what he think she deserves, and what he’ll do to get under the skin of the people holding him back. It’s a good schtick, and it’s very clearly working.

Here’s what I’m expecting. Dean Ambrose beats the odds, and defies the Authority, and becomes WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Huge celebration…which includes your newly-crowned Mr. Money in the Bank, Roman Reigns… who promptly hits Ambrose with a Superman punch, a Spear, and becomes the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Roman joins the Authority, with an argument along the lines of “I’m not selling out – I’m buying in.” Rollins is happy to have the support, but not happy to play second fiddle to the new champ, and the Authority’s new golden boy.

Ambrose vs. Reigns at Battleground, Rollins interferes.

Then it’s Ambrose vs. Reigns vs. Rollins for the title — when the Shield explodes at Summerslam.

You know why? Because that’s BEST FOR BUSINESS. Believe that.
