Marti Belle (c) vs. Aria Cadenza
Marti wins this one clean with a rolling elbow, which I wasn’t expecting. Aria could have won the match a couple of different times, but dismissed Marti several times. It cost her the match, and the title…but I’m sure she’ll get another shot down the line.
What I liked: Marti worked babyface, which was a cool change of pace. Aria is billed as the “Starlet Killer,” which I really liked. Both girls continue to improve.
What made me angry: Some timing issues here, but nothing too drastic, and nothing worth getting upset about. I was more surprised than upset about Marti retaining, but I think she and Rick Cataldo need to settle their co-champion gimmick before someone else can take the title.
