The Pride is (Ry)Back!

You’ll never find someone more excited about a Mark Henry heel turn than me  — seriously, listen to how many times I said “heel turn” during the Rusev-Show match from Hell in a Cell — but it’s still completely unclear exactly who will be working with Gold & Stardust going forward if not these two. Outside of the Ascenscion, it’s hard to imagine anyone having any type of sticking power outside of the Usos, which isn’t just problematic for the tag team division, but how tag teams can be formed.

Sometimes, you replace Peyton Manning with Andrew Luck. And sometimes, you replace Sean Connery with George Lazenby.

The idea that Jerry Lawler would be the one to help Alicia Fox and not, I don’t know, literally any other member of the broadcast team including Renee Young and Lillian Garcia would make more sense is exactly the problem with the Diva’s division outside of — and I literally can’t believe I’m saying this, but — the Bella Twins: the only person that seems to give a shit about them is the creepiest guy on staff. HAVING SAID THAT, Alicia and A.J. work well together, Paige and Alicia should be able to work another fun match together with the roles reverse and without having to worry about Alicia or Paige, A.J. can try to bring up someone else to the main stage before she inevitably bows out to Queen Charlotte. Because there can be only one.
