NYWC: Angry Andy Reviews "Till I Collapse"

Anthony Nese and Papadon vs Milk Chocolate

Before the match, it’s announced that current tag champs, The Juicy Product, have been stripped of the NYWC Tag Team Championship “due to unprofessionalism.”  As a result, these two teams, as well as Drew Gulak and Joe Gacy, will compete for the titles next month, in a TLC match,  I’m pumped for that match, but I’m kind of disappointed by the way Juicy Product was written out.  I also feel like this match suffered for the announcement, feeling far less important than it could have, if the announcement was made post-match.

Anyway, I think I’ve made my point clear in prior reviews that I am a huge fan of these four guys.  Papadon and Nese are TV-ready, top-notch wrestlers.  Milk Chocolate are super athletic, highly charismatic young guys.  The four of them together?  What more could you possibly ask for?

This match was flashy at points, with some very creative offense from all four guys.  The finish saw Brandon Watts accidentally knock out Randy Summers, eat a brutal piledriver from Papadon, and a 450 from Nese for the pin.

What I liked:  A solid match, that also worked as a solid preview for next month’s TLC match.  Just awesome.

What made me angry: The crowd was a bit quiet at times.  The crowd is usually 100% behind Milk Chocolate, but I feel like they weren’t sure who to root for in this one, even though Nese and Papadon definitely played heels.
