The success of these two matches (and these two character builds) hinge on how you feel about squashes. As a child of 80’s WWF, I love them. No better way to get a gimmick across quickly, and it’s accomplished without hurting anyone else. You get the full entrance, a showcase for the finisher, and and the crowd/home audience gets the message that this performer is important. How long can be effective is anyone’s guess. At least Dempsey has some regular singles match success. We have no clue what Corbin can do.  Signs point to a match between the two at Evolution – we’ll see if Corbin moves outta Squash-City after that match-up.
