KNEEL BEFORE ROLLINS!

Every time one of the members of the Shield is in the ring with another one, it becomes crystallized how much the three of them mean to the business both right now and for the foreseeable future (and even past that). What’s most remarkable, however, is the level to which Seth Rollins has become the best of the three performers after spending almost their entire run as the “third wheel” between The Rock and Austin of Reigns and Ambrose. Although some, like friend of the site Daron “Action” Jackson have long predicted that Rollins would be the star attraction out of the three, it’s hard to imagine a more unlikely scenario than him being the definitive star in a match between him and golden boy/returning hero Roman Reigns. But, there it is, and here we are, one step closer to a major sea change in the make-up of the WWE, and an Armenian boy from Iowa with half his hair dyed bleached blonde leading the way.

Though, to be fair to everyone involved, coming off perhaps the biggest moment of the last six months in a match with two people who had lost earlier in the night, the chances of the Ascension being treated like anything other than rookies with funny face paint on was slim and none. What’s most important to remember, however, is that first impressions aren’t nearly as important as they used to be, and in time, the Ascension will likely find their way into a fairly sparse Tag Team title picture, where they’ll get to prove their worth on the main roster.
