3. Rusev

Why it works: He’s the dominant United States champion who just put John Cena to sleep in the middle of the ring.

He’s plowed through the competition for the last year, stepping up in his level of competition with every feud.
Rusev and Reigns would have a beautifully physical match.  I’d bet on some accidental bloodshed, and probably a black eye or two on Raw the next night.

And you know what? It’d be pretty interesting to see the US Champion looked upon as a de facto number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, the way it was back in WCW.  It adds a lot of prestige to the championship, and makes the guy holding it feel like a really big deal.

Why it would make me angry: Rusev has to lose.  It’s almost a complete waste to have Reigns come this far, against the Bulgarian bruiser, only to lose in the end.  This only ends with your Hulk Hogan Real American celebration, which is fine…but is it time for Rusev to lose?
