What’s the Worst That Could Happen?: WWE Payback Edition

I Quit Match – WWE United States Championship

Cena Rusev

John Cena (c) vs. Rusev

Best Case Scenario: Regardless of outcomes — I’m partial to Rusev, but he is quite literally my favorite performer working right now — John Cena continuing his unbelievable run as United States champion, which has not only cemented his place as an all-time great performer but as the worker most likely to get a “This is Awesome!” chant on a roster filled with some of the best performers in the history of the industry would be great to see. Not bad a for a guy who can’t wrestle.

Worst Case Scenario: It’s hard to imagine anything other than an injury or end-of-match botch doing anything to the overall enjoyment of this match. Unless, of course, they just turn Lana into the worst possible version of Sable. Which seems like exactly what’s going to happen.

What Nick Wants to Happen: A match, with a storyline outcome that doesn’t make me hate myself for being a wrestling fan.

What Will Happen: The Best Case Scenario match, with the Worst Case scenario outcome.
