Andy Will Be Angry If…: WWE Money in the Bank Edition

Money in the Bank

Neville vs. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns vs. Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston

Let’s break this down, worker by worker, shall we?

Neville: An interesting choice. He’s over like Rover because he pulls off some awesome moves in the ring. I think it’s safe to say he’s not ready to be WWE Champion, and he would be done no favors by walking around with the briefcase for a title match he can’t possibly win. I’d expect him to shine, and hit some pretty cool high spots, but ultimately fall short.

Kane: It’s happened before, but it’s not happening. I’ll win Emma’s unconditional love before Kane wins Money in the Bank…again.

Kofi KingstonMuch like he is in the Royal Rumble, Kofi is included in the Money in the Bank match to execute big spots. He’s a career midcard guy, who’s seeing some new success as a heel…but it won’t be enough to bring him to the top. I can, however, see Big E & Xavier Woods getting involved and trying to bring the briefcase to New Day. I wonder if the Freebird New Day rule applies to Money in the Bank, the way it does the tag titles?

Dolph Ziggler: The smart marks in the crowd will be firmly behind Ziggler, perhaps a bit less so if he comes to the ring with a certain Ravishing Russian. I’d expect his near-victory to be interrupted by a certain Bulgarian Brute.

Sheamus: If a heel is going to win this match, it’s going to be Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior has been awesome since his rebirth a silly-looking but conniving heel. His “stuck pod door” ploy at Elimination Chamber was pretty smart. I could see something similar happening here, allowing Sheamus to steal a victory.

Randy OrtonThe smarks who are turned off by Ziggler’s love triangle will be pulling for Randy Orton. The former champion has been MONEY since returning and embracing the WWE Universe. Nick said it best — his current gimmick is “best wrestler on the show” and it works very well. Orton could win, but really doesn’t need to. He can continue his rivalry with Sheamus, have great matches, and move back into the title picture when the time is right…without holding a MitB guaranteed title shot.

Roman Reigns: I’ve loved the recent on-camera bromance between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. I think it’s been the best character-building exercise for Reigns since the Shield split last year. I think it’s leading to something big, and somewhat unexpected, and I think it starts in this match. Skip to the last page for more on that… but don’t piss and moan if I spoil something for you.

I’ll be angry if: Kane, Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, or Neville win.

I’ll keep my cool if: Sheamus, Orton or Reigns win.

I’m expecting…: Reigns wins.

If I booked it: Reigns wins, and uses the briefcase to endlessly taunt and torment the man who stabbed him in the back to join the Authority, Seth Rollins.
