Andy Will Be Angry If…: Summerslam Edition

Cena Lesnar

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

The storytelling in this feud has been unparalleled.  Everything WWE did wrong when Brock first returned has been corrected.  He’s an unstoppable killing machine who wants two things: to be the champion, and to hurt John Cena.

He’s going to do both.

Lesnar has looked legitimately dangerous, in the best ways possible.  He looks like a real threat to John Cena.  He looks like he may actually come close to SQUASHING John Cena in the main event, and that’s the best case scenario.

I’ll be angry if: Lesnar doesn’t come out of this looking like an absolute killer, forcing Cena to take some real time off, and establishing himself as the true #1 in the world.

I’ll keep my cool if: Lesnar systematically destroys John Cena, the way he did Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Remember that?  All for nothing, right?  Go ahead and admit you were wrong.

Lesnar needs to look strong here.  If he’s the guy who KILLED the Undertaker and KILLED John Cena, he officially becomes the unstoppable monster… and the perfect Wrestlemania opponent for Roman Reigns.

Roman needs a strong opponent, not one who wins BS 50-50 booking battles.  If Roman can beat the guy who can’t be beaten, he’s clearly THE GUY WWE has selected moving forward, and the crowd will respond accordingly.  If he beats someone who lost in a way to keep Cena strong, he’s just beating another guy, and that Wrestlemania moment isn’t nearly as monumental as it could have, and should have, been.

What I’m expecting: A great story of a match that is a little too competitive, but ultimately, puts Lesnar over as a champion who CAN NOT be beaten.
