Andy Will Be Angry If…:Money in the Bank Edition

MITB WWE WHC

Kane vs Sheamus vs Roman Reigns vs John Cena vs Alberto del Rio vs Cesaro vs Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton
(Ladder Match, WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

This is a big one. WWE needs to make a very important decision on who carries the company moving forward into Summerslam. The winner is expected to battle (my client) Brock Lesnar at Summerslam, which means he’s walking out of this match into one very important role.

I’ll be angry if: A heel wins, because it won’t make ANY sense. My original pick was Bray Wyatt, but Wyatt-Lesnar just doesn’t work. Del Rio is a midcarder at this point (sorry, Nick) which means he never stood a chance, heel or face. Randy Orton will shine, but can’t win. Sheamus, in my free creative advice for Rusev, will be busy for a few months.

And it’s WAY TOO SOON for Roman Reigns. If Reigns is going to be the next megastar, he needs to be built slowly, and given his big moment. Rushing it will kill his momentum DEAD.

I’ll keep my cool if: John Cena wins. Yeah, I know. Nobody (except Nick) REALLY wants Cena to win, but it would make sense in the story—especially leading to Cena-Lesnar. Cena beat Lesnar last time around, but now Lesnar is the man who beat the streak. Now, he can beat the face of the company, AND take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship home I the process.

OR, my real pick:

Cesaro. I love Cesaro, but I’d bet you anything you’d like that WWE will NOT be strapping the megastar rocket to his back. Cusp of the main event? Sure. Face of the company? No. In that regard, giving Cesaro the title for two months, and having him lose to “the other Paul Heyman guy” doesn’t hurt him. It gives him a logical feud to turn face, and lets him chase the title again when Lesnar wins. Plus, Cesaro will ALWAYS be a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, which will be important when he’s helping make guys like Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins into the next generation of Cena, Punk and Orton.

Enjoy the show.
