Andy Will Be Angry If…: Elimination Chamber Edition

Tag Title Chamber

Elimination Chamber Match for the Tag Team Championship

Los Matadores vs. The Ascension vs. Lucha Dragons vs. Tyson Kidd & Cesaro vs. The New Day vs. Prime Time Players

I’m expecting a lot of things out of this match. Here’s a small list:

  • Cesaro and Kidd, along with the New Day, continue to show that they are two of the best, and most underutilized, acts in WWE today.
  • Darren Young and Titus O’Neil get a chance to shine, and look like stars, in a way they really haven’t since the gang got back together.
  • The Lucha Dragons don’t come anywhere near the Tag Titles, but pull off one or two highlight reel spots–the kind that play as an “in case you missed it” replay as they make their entrance on Raw/Smackdown.
  • Los Matadores are solid, but the crowd treats them like the jobber act they are.
  • The Ascension are on the receiving-end of a lot of high spots. How do you say “Catch me, Viktor!” in Spanish?

I’ll be angry if: The Ascension or Los Matadores win the titles. Too much good will has gone into those belts recently to have them tarnished by filler tag teams. I think it’s too early for the Lucha Dragons, so while I think it’d be a mistake to give them the “w,” it wouldn’t make me angry.

I’ll keep my cool if: It comes down to Cesaro, Kidd, and the New Day, and continues for another 5-10 minutes.

I’m expecting…: A win for the Prime Time Players. WWE can parade D-Young around as their first openly-gay champion, while also putting some shine on the “Celebrity Dad of the Year.” After their win, they’re attacked and murdered by Harper and Rowan. The New Day continue to feud with Cesaro and Kidd, who they blame for their title loss, and the other 3 teams go back to having pointless matches with one another on Main Event and Superstars.
