You didn’t think the women’s match would be the one with the best build on the show, did ya? Well, it is. If you don’t believe me, you should probably just skip this show altogether, and go back and re-watch the last year of women’s wrestling.

Naomi hasn’t gotten her just due as an in-ring talent, and is taking that out on the other Divas. That includes Paige, from whom she stole a title shot, and Nikki Bella, the reigning and defending Divas Champion. She’s finally getting her chance to not only take out the champion, but the on-paper #1 contender, against whom she’s yet to actually prove herself.

Paige got screwed, plain and simple. She’s more than proven herself in just 14 months on the main roster, winning the Divas title twice and taking on (and defeating) all comers. She has a chance to not only regain her title, but to take out the talent who kept her out of the ring for over a month.

Nikki Bella gets a chance to prove that she is a true hoss, and fighting champion, by taking on two of the toughest competitors in her division. She has to prove that she can beat Naomi, and she has to prove that she’s better than Paige…even though her track record against my British princess is less-than-stellar.

The writing for the division isn’t perfect… but this is a properly-built feud, with legitimate motivation consequences for all involved. #GiveDivasAChance, right? Here you go.

I’ll be angry if: Nikki retains. She’s been a great champion, and has shown great improvement in the ring. That said, it’s time for the championship story to take a turn, and it has to involve a new champion.

I’ll keep my cool if: Naomi takes the title. The most logical move is to put the belt on Naomi, so she can continue to be the Alpha Female of the Divas division, with babyface challengers Paige and Nikki chasing her for the belt… and running into roadblocks, like Tamina. Also, with a heel champion being chased by face challengers, you get a lot more of your heel roster on the show – including the wonderfully-talented but horrendously-underused Alicia Fox.

I’m expecting…: Naomi steals a win from Paige. WWE edits out the curbstomp for an upcoming “Day in the Life of Naomi” Network special.
